@swingingmeat: I'm not sure how FoI works in Russia or the former republics, or how much data was destroyed between then and now, or if it's even accessible if it still exists.

Great. Now I'm going to have nightmares about how they might test whether robots understand human death. I can just imagine a monotone voice politely asking someone to "wake up," Afternoon-Special-Gun-Episode style.

I've always thought the real problem of the Singularity isn't whether it can solve all of humanity's problems and discomforts, but rather how we would use it. Right now, as a civilization, we spend thousands of times more money designing newer and shinier phones than we do trying to develop desalinization or water

@hurley_cat: I skipped over that part and had to actually check on it when I saw your comment. I could've sworn that that had already been done in cartoon form.

I've always wondered how anyone can think that astrophysics is boring.

@Enkur: Of what do you speak? I do not know of any other IP, franchise, or cultural institution that goes by that name.

@Spaceknight: Wasn't that the same plot/character/theme that Alfred Molina's Doc Oc had in #2?

This is truly brilliant. Now I want to know where they found all those set pieces like the old-fashioned 50s console.

@8x10: Just wondering how many super-terrorists there are out there, and exactly how many nuclear missiles they've launched, or how many EMP bombs have been used by ANYONE.

Okay....so Mark Waid and Alex Ross give almost everyone superpowers in the DC future in "Kingdom Come" to bring about the apocalypse...

#2 and #3: Is that Willem Dafoe?

NEIL PATRICK HARRIS FOR THE FLASH. LET'S GET THIS STARTED.

I've neither considered memory loss to be a side effect of smoking, nor an undesirable one.

WTF? Is that Morrissey in the top photo?
