@Volanova: Very true- this is what tricked the Nazis into thinking that Patton was landing at Calais instead of Montgomery at Normandy. It worked then, it worked in Desert Storm, and it'll probably keep working until thermal sensors become standard.

@Tatterfoal: Fake Andy Griffith Show Theme whenever the boys discover something that should make them cry and Doc manages to cover.

@Stephen Mark Monteith: Crap. I didn't refresh the comments page before I posted mine. Kudos on the ideas.

Here here. Superman's rogues gallery tends to date almost entirely from the late Golden/early-to-mid Silver Ages where wackiness was encouraged and the norm.

@Unsub: First one of the Gaiman run. I really didn't think that there was a reason to restart Marvelman/Miracleman. It was a perfect deconstruction of the Superman/Captain Marvel archetype up until the last few issues, where it turned into Alan Moore's utopian fantasy, and sacrificed a lot of character development.

Is that Cannonball?

@RainyDayInterns: I don't know. I've checked other articles, but no one gives any example or detail. Unless you happen to have a subscription to an anthropological journal assigned to your email, then I doubt we'll get much more than this.

OH MY GOD I AM BUYING THIS THE SECOND IT COMES OUT. THIS LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. THIS IS HOW ANIME *should* BE ADAPTED TO GAMES.

@o6untouchable: Isaiah Mustafa, the NFL benchwarmer and brilliant Old Spice Guy.

@Dr Emilio Lizardo: I've heard this over and over again. It always was, they just now started making up the majority of Halloween stores' merchandise, not just a special section, or a seasonal deal at whack-shacks.

@mordicai: Most of the time I can get over my defensiveness about new adaptations of cherished pop culture. I can disagree with how a director or actor handles old material without thinking it's anything but good.

@mordicai: I keep looking at this and hoping and praying and wishing that it is Good. Please, just let it be good.

See this. Wat Do?

THE SONTARANS MUST BE BACK!

@countjackula: I KNOW. This looks less like something an engineering PhD came up with and more like a stunt that a bunch of bored tweenagers came up with in their backyard using a birthday balloon and a bottle rocket.

I went to the hipster-est (hipster-y?) most hipster-filled college in a good part of the Midwest, and despite everything saying I should've fit in on paper, I somehow managed to become known once again as a total and complete nerd.

@superberg: I don't know about that, but an actually competent superscientist that looks like Woody Allen would be something to see.

@Daniel-Midnight: I thought it was a Palin Clan reference. 30 Rock did the same thing during the Jon Hamm arc two seasons ago.

This is probably the best illustration of the different cultures fighting it out over Park 51. The 'Freedom Tower,' despite fitting in well with the newest generation of skyscrapers in East Asia, has first dozen floors designed to look like an actual medieval castle, complete with arrowlets for windows in the lobby,

@DWOHIO: Very true. Out-of-work teacher here, and it extends to more than just reading lists. During hiring season, the vast majority of schools in parts of Houston would hire first by coaching position, then second by your actual subject certification. Ex:
