Agreed.  I think the games would always be wise to keep lore dumps to a minimum.  Mystery is always more interesting than knowing, and here it actually serves a purpose:  The dreadful tone of the games.  

I love Metroid but I really don’t like the lore.

It’s a dumb series built around shooting nameless enemies, hunting animals for their skins, taking down forts, and blowing shit up. Personally, I really don’t need it to be more than that.

Came to say this. I for one don’t expect any game that we’re just learning about this week to be out come February. 

I’d like to suggest that for every month that has “too many games”, the next reports of a "drought" be delayed by a month.

120 hours here on a high end PC, loved every minute of it. I’ve been suppressing the urge to play it again, trying to wait for some DLC to hit first. I know it’s trendy to hate on the game, but it was second only to Ghost of Tsushima for me in 2020.

Yeah, it’s stupid. Speedruns themselves are bordering on stupid, but this kinda “no touching your own hands and playing while singing Gregorian chants” is definitely crossed the line. This is like the “if I had that much time on my hands I’d learn to play the piano” type of thing. Like do, literally, ANYTHING else.…

Personally, Games are escapism relaxation from the day to day life.

The Final Fantasy ports have triple speed and an invincibility button. I had 100 spare hours to play a game like that when I had a summer vacation. I don’t get those anymore. So having that option is probably the only chance I have of playing these games again.
