It’s what happens when you make a commercial designed to mock Trump supporters, then realize that you literally can’t make it stupid or obvious enough for them to get the joke and they will actually buy the thing, so you decide “fuck it” and just take their money like all the other grifters.

This would have been even more interesting and poignant if she divvied out starting money based on kids’ real-world family wealth.

They could have actually made this funny and poignant if they’d simply kept the original compensation scheme — $200 for passing GO — but then multiplied the value of every property by 1,000 and stipulated that every game starts with those properties owned by your richest friend’s parents.

The reasoning is sound, but we know most of these laws aren’t being made in good faith. They’re ways to enable the government to harass and remove homeless people from where they’re not wanted.
