I had a similarly empty flight about six months before 9/11. We were flying from Denver back to Boston, and for some reason, nobody was on the plane. We each had our own rows in this giant 747 behemoth. The flight attendants gave us all free wine, and then they sat down and watched the movie with us.

Huh. I flew out of my town (which happens to have a military base) a week after 9/11. It was a small plane, but packed, and for every one civilian there were 4 soldiers in uniform, all younger than me (I was 20 at the time), on their way to being deployed. It was terrifying.

I had a business class flight from I think Seoul or Hong Kong to Vancouver on Air Canada. There were only 4 of us in business class and they didn’t bump and of the coach passengers up. We had an absolute blast with the flight attendants. Also, shout out to Air Canada for being SOOOO awesome when I was horrifically

When I was in college I somehow screwed up and ended up flying home on Christmas Day. Best flight ever. Plane was pretty empty, the crew was determined to make the best of a bad situation, one of them sang the most obscene rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas I’ve ever heard (I was the youngest person on the

As a fellow obsessive pet owner I completely understand. I once had to fly my cat from the east coast the west coast and I was so stressed out about how she would do that I was sweating profusely and a complete nervous wreck that three Valium did absolutely nothing to help calm me down. The end result was that my

This is very sad to me. As an obsessive pet owner, whenever possible I drive to my destination and bring my pets with me. If I ever had to fly with my pets I would find it incredibly stressful. I am also pretty much at all times, one bad interaction with someone away from a meltdown. Every day that a video like this

Is the current dress code so lenient that everyone is prancing around in glittery American Flag nipple pasties and nothing else? I don't think of congressional interns as dressing anything near unprofessional. Maybe this new dress code bans those super sexy shift dresses or Forever Twenty One blazers that make men

It took five days to announce it publicly. We have no idea what exactly is going on or has gone on. Perhaps she was camping with friends and then they came home without her.

It sounds like she didn't fully understand what acting is. They could've helped the situation by not naming the character Miley and by not having her real dad play her dad, to draw more distinctions between Miley Cyrus the person and the character she was portraying. 11 seems old enough to understand the distinction,

I like Miley. She’s living her life and doing her thing. Her voice is unique; one doesn’t hear very many contralto voices in pop music anymore. Everyone wants to see who can hit a higher note than the next person, meanwhile I’ve played this video of her cover of Summertime Sadness over and over for the past few months.

Is it read by her?? I would die to hear her read this.

I was just about to post the same link. So much more heartbreaking for some reason

For once I’m actually excited about a movie being adapted into a musical! I’ve watched the Youtube clip of her doing, “Used to be Mine” a million times and it’s soooooo good! I really hope this good and not a disappointment!

For people who don’t get the joke, Google their names to read (or preferably hear) the delightful long-running story/bit Tig tells about meeting Taylor Dayne years ago. :)
