"Transracial families" weren't the ones making a big deal of the segment this week, it was conservatives. And she caved in, like liberals always do, to their demands.

I'm saying that it's liberal naivete to think that apologizing to conservatives is going to prevent them from doing that.
Apologizing is not a weakness.
Nothing makes me more bilious than seeing conservatives get more fuel for their bogus "but both sides do it" fire regarding racial bigotry. She is doing everything in her power to neutralize this situation in its utility as a talking point for conservatives.
This is part of a larger, rightward trend in this country since the launch of Fox News in 1996. A lot of people have noticed how regressive America has become since the 90s and I argue that it is directly tied to the rise of Fox.
I mean JEZEBEL is the site who told me about why she's accomplished what she accomplished.
So she's the Lana Del Rey of Hollywood production and just bought her way into the game. Whoopty doo.
lol it's not shit tie. It's suit and tie shit, tie shit, tie.
Because it would be better for the state to have amended its constitution to ban gay marriage than that one of the major figures involved in keeping that from happening be straight? How does that make sense to you?
People are getting dumber at an exponential rate. People will believe literally ANYTHING if you just post it on the internet. Facebook is ground zero for that. How anyone read those Miley "quotes" and believed them for a second....
How much attention has the issue gotten because of Kluwe?
It could be but I guess I'd just have a problem with an ally taking a serious issue and twisting it into a personal crusade where affronts to themselves are elevated to the same level as the actual issue itself and their personal martyrdom somehow becomes paramount.
Because then, this article becomes about a guy settling a grudge against enemies and not fighting against an employer acting inappropriately in the workplace/seeking to punish someone for vocally supporting civil rights.
I kind of feel like Chris Kluwe's "activism" stopped being about the actual cause and started being more about Chris Kluwe a little bit ago.
Hmm. I'd put the blame moreso on the audience but I must admit, that's probably because I have a low opinion of the intelligence of the average American. Chappelle and Scorsese could have done great jobs of making those statements in their work but it can be all for naught when you're trying to make an absolute moron…
Correct. And it's important at that point to direct criticism at the audience and not the material.
Depiction of Bad Behavior Does Not Constitute Endorsement of Said Bad Behavior. Despite what you may have heard on your local Internets, The Wolf of Wall Street is not a misogynist film. It is instead a vivid portrayal of misogyny (and greed, and cruelty, and selfishness, and institutionalized sociopathy).
This playlist needs more house
So liberals got punked into doing what conservatives want, again.
