I’ve read Jezebel for awhile and it seems like the writing has really gone downhill in the past few years. It just lacks nuance (and attention to detail in this instance) and some of it verges on self-parody.

They are copying conservatives who are proud to be ignorant. To what end, I have no idea, but they do love to play up their lack of knowledge or ability to do a quick internet search.

If you didn’t know anything about Rob Reiner, you could have at least taken 30 seconds to Google him. He’s been a highly vocal (and financial) advocate for civil rights for 50 years. He helped start the American Foundation for Equal Rights. He’s repeatedly bankrolled challenges to Right-wing legal attacks on women,…
