That Bernie supporters think Twitter engagement and memes are what matters most is EXACTLY why he’s lost two primaries.

I keep hearing centrists claim this is somehow a conspiracy to get Bernie the nomination. Lol, you all live in a fantasy world. I follow a lot of leftist media, literally no one is saying Bernie could still win.

Like I said in an earlier tweet, there’s a reason why the prominent faces of #MeToo aren’t getting behind this. They see the trap this represents for the movement if they go all in on it.

My other thought on this is basically: what is the outcome she’s hoping for? Is she thinking he’ll drop out of the race because of a 30 year old sexual assault accusation that she can’t prove happened?

I’ve been seeing so many feminists defend Carole Baskin potentially killing her husband and don’t know what they think they’re accomplishing.

But he’s not doing it on Twitter so for Bernie folks, it doesn’t count

Yeah, all this just sounds like boilerplate third wave feminism.

My memory could be selective, but Katie hill didn’t lie about it forever, didn’t have her husband establish campaigns to degredate her lovers, and didn’t blame all of it on a vast right wing conspiracy.

Can we really continue to pile on Bill Clinton for this after everyone rallied around Katie Hill for the same thing six months ago? Are affairs with subordinates bad or not?

I don’t even know if they’re right or wrong. In the past, I would have said this was the correct analysis; progressive and feminist thought was clear that relationships between subordinates and their superiors are inherently wrong due to the power imbalance and could never truly be consented to.

All democrats need to fall in line more instead of always waiting to fall in love. The fact that progressives don’t get this is why we’re getting four more years of Trump.
