So the big topic of a Republican Senatorial candidate embroiled in a sex scandal will end with a Democratic Senator being forced to resign. Like clockwork.

The other day, there was a commenter on another Jezebel thread, claiming that on top of blaming that woman for her rape, Gal Gadot had participated in some “secret mission” in Lebanon while in the army: basically, a massacre. Another commenter did some research: apparently, by the time the first commenter said Gal

Israel is not Judaism; Judaism is not Israel.

It’s fake. Made up by the anti-Semitic far left Tumblrs who HATE Gal for being Israeli and have been trying to spread different rumors about her since she blew up. The same person that posted that on Medium was in the Jez comment sections last week trying to spread the story. Username was Kateri.

Right, this happens pretty regularly at the Globes.

People are yelling at you but there was literally a thread on an article a week ago where women commenters were saying it was ok to hit on coworkers and people got mad at me when I said it wasn’t.

That’s not what I said about the video. I said the video was an example of a seemingly innocuous comment from men being taken by women as harassment. So telling men that if they just hit on co-workers “politely” they won’t be seen as harassing, is an incorrect statement to make.

If you think people should be able to chat someone up even when the receiver is clearly not in the mood to talk to anyone...

This response makes his point though. Over on Jezabel right now, there is a thread saying that asking out women on the job is absolutely ok if you do it respectfully. I disagreed and provided an example of “respectful” pursuit that could be construed as harassment but people took it the wrong way and the thread went

I don’t think you realize that I’m agreeing with you.

My intention wasn’t to start a street harassment debate, I was just using the video as an example. But I will say as a man, the notion that men never randomly say “How are you?” or “Good morning” to other men walking down the street is untrue.

There seems to be some confusion about why I mentioned that street harassment video; let me try to be more clear with why I cited it. I used it because it is a well known example that I figured everyone has seen before where a seemingly innocuous, polite statement (“How are you this morning?”) was taken by women at

Street harassment is a whole different thing than the original example though! People who work together or move in the same social circles DO have the potential to form romantic relationships based on time spent getting to know each other.

Also to your claims of innocuous statements in that street harasser video - when the woman doesn’t respond, those innocuous statements become angry at the rejection. “You don’t want to talk? Smile! I’m just being nice.” That’s objectively harassing behaviour.

It’s not that difficult, guys. How many of these stories have gone like this:

We don’t know why Knox blamed Lumumba after initially denying any knowledge of the crime over and over.

Did she pin it on a different black man than the one that wad eventually arrested and convicted? Its been awhile but i thought it was the same guy

Charles Stuart, Susan Smith, Jennifer Wilbanks, Ashley Todd. Just to name a few. I’m comfortable extrapolating from American history.

You still never answered why Knox tried to pin this on an innocent black man, as guilty white Americans often do, if she herself was not involved.
