If Bernie Sanders couldn’t motivate voters of like mind (progressives) to show up and vote against the uber hated Hillary Clinton in the primaries, how was he going to motivate racist white centrists/conservatives to vote for him against Trump?

Not calling out/ignoring racism is a proud white tradition, which is a huge reason why we’re here in the first place.
