This is a great habit to develop.

Some great ideas here. Another approach to distraction — especially if you find activism too daunting — is to practice kindness. Find a way to help someone nearby, or you local community. It’s an absorbing diversion and will likely increase your overall happiness.

To take the separation of work and play a step further, I’ve set up an additional profile on my Android tablet. Just the minor inertia of having to log out and back in to my ‘Play’ profile is enough for a modest productivity bump.

One of the best ways to keep your whole identity fluid and adaptable is to distinguish it from moods and behaviors. So then, rather than ‘I AM shy,’ it becomes ‘I’m feeling shy,’ or ‘I’m behaving shy.’ It’s a great way to prime yourself (i.e. your identity) to become flexible and open to new ideas.

I quickly reverted back to the old bookmarks. I found the new system quite buggy — moving bookmarks back to their original save position and label, losing bookmarks altogether.
