OMG SO TRUE! I would much rather just be naked. There’s something about swimsuits, no matter what the cut or style, that make me look and feel horrible. Give me jeans, sweats, short cut off shorts, a tiny dress, or nothing at all - just don’t make me wear a fucking swimsuit.

Yes. White people can have everything, EVERYTHING! The few things we can’t have are very small and insignificant, like not being able to say a word. Or, I dunno, dance? Other stuff too I’m sure. But it’s not like anyone can just say any racial slur, there’s no race that gets to do that, you know? Ugh. Now I’m just

Yeah that’s definitely true. Is it just me though, or wouldn’t an affair be more likely to be with someone that you, you know, actually know? Like, I’ve only ever been tempted by guys who I get somewhat close with - like a hot guy in my office who shares my politics and we have lots of great conversations within a

Just got to the end of this back-and-forth between you and some others and am glad to read this last post :) Just wanted to chime in with two things - 1. If I lived in Scotland I’d be offering my couch and 2. I’m 26 and finally, after literally years of putting it off, had my first session with a therapist. I was

This is like when I had to explain to a white co-worker that the fact he couldn’t say the n word was the price he had to pay for the huge amount of institutionalized privilege he got when born. Sorry not sorry.

Also though, don’t just say you have a boyfriend, or guys will be like “whoa OKAY wasn’t trying to do anything, god you’re pretentious” like in that one Amy Schumer skit. Tried to find gifs or pictures of it but no luck.

Oh man this is so good. There should be a pissing contest with this as the theme - times you’ve been asked out (or similar) despite giving ZERO hints that you’re interested. I’m curious about if you were wearing a ring on your left ring finger? Because shouldn’t that be a giant clue? Also, when it comes to employees

Why couldn’t a man say, for instance, that he really likes you and gets the feeling you like him back, but, hey, he could be wrong. Then you could say you did or didn’t share his interest. And that would be that. I can’t decide what is sadder: That this is so simple, or that it’s so unlikely.

I feel you. I just got a job as a part time front desk person at an MMA gym and so fucking pumped to start taking what are normally really expensive classes for free. I’m somewhat athletic but have never done anything close to MMA in my life. I’m terrified for my first class but can’t wait. If you’re of some means,

Yeah I assumed it was a white sorority because I think of white girls when I hear the word “sorority” and then saw the black arms in the photo and was like “oooohhhhhhh.” Now I get it. Goddamnit.

Great idea.

I sometimes write blog posts for an upscale grocery store and the owner was recently like “you should think of some good ‘hacks’ to write about, with food! That’s all the rage now or something.”

I spent 2 years as a counselor/teacher at this bougey rich kids “summer program” (we weren’t allowed to use the word “camp”) and spent most nights walking around campus with a flashlight and busting kids who were making out, or worse (these were 15-17 year olds so you can bet there was a lot of hanky panky going on).

A counselor at my Girl Scout camp who everyone loved was fired when it came out she was a lesbian. Some other counselors told us - we were in middle school so among the oldest of the campers, and we were not happy. Looking back and knowing how progressive Girl Scouts is now, I still can’t believe that happened.

Sure, Kate has great hair and a closet full of really tasteful pumps and cute babies.

I’m only 26 and have all sorts of weird knee and ankle problems that make too much running terrible...I’ve done a few half marathons always spaced out over a few years and don’t overdo it so I don’t understand, WHYYY BODY WHYYYY

Yeah :( My twin is a copy editor and seeing the stuff she does, it’s SO IMPORTANT! Thankfully she’s as a cool place that’s doing well financially, but it blows my mind that people just let writers “edit” themselves. Even great writers get too sucked into their writing to be able to catch mistakes, which is totally

I’m learning to fail so hard right now. Quit my job, pushed my entrance to grad school back a semester, and am starting to see a therapist. I’ve always been a successful person who “had it all.” But it’s such an act. I mean COME ON. No one is actually as happy as they appear to be on social media. It’s all carefully

need to tie my hair up on the top of my head...whoa. I had no idea it could get that bad. You’re amazing for still taking the time to educate via comment threads.
