Ugh, you’re not trading any daylight. It doesn’t change how much light is in the day. It only changes when we decide daylight occurs on our arbitrary clocks.

ND just not a desirable vehicle
“I’m not going to eat their food, which I’ve more or less already paid for. That’ll show ‘em!”
I’m a big proponent of getting what you’ve paid for. A hunger strike is quite possibly the dumbest way to do this, however. Just get home and get a lawyer. You aren’t fixing the ship.
Let the fucks starve. Fucking first world problems.
No more government backed insurance for idiots that live in flood zones.
is this one of the old benzes where all the interior powered stuff (windows, seats, etc) is hydraulic and on a single circuit? Hardest ND if so
In the 1980s and 1990s when Ford controlled Mazda, the Mazda 626 (third and fourth generations), MX-6 (both generations) and Ford Probe (both generations) were arguably some of the best cars from both companies. Their shared work was also pretty good later with the first Mazda6 and first Ford Fusion.
Neat, clean and unique, but is it desirable? No to me, and not to most people willing to drop $40K on a hobby, I suspect.
Sooo... it’s totally ok they are ran by horrible people and treat the employees like trash, because they treated you two like human beings?
Trump is envisaging a world where, to bypass the tariffs, automakers bring jobs and manufacturing flooding back to American soil. Maybe they will, but the millions of dollars that have been invested in Mexican and Canadian manufacturing over recent years suggest that maybe they won’t.
nice straw man you got there
Maybe the automakers shouldn’t have been sitting on their hands with so much at stake, profiles in cowardice adds another chapter.
If this thing were near-mint, and had the original wheels, head and tail lamps? Then you might be able to get something in the $10k range. As-is? ND.
If we’re honest, that’s every BMW SUV, but I assume you’re thinking of the XM.
I don’t even know the name/model but what’s that gargantuan BMW suv that looks like it’s got a botched and infected Botox lip job?
I love the bones of this truck and the condition is great, but if this fell into my lap my first inclination would be to peel off the graphics, put stock lights back in the grill and replace the wheels and tires with some durable rims and modest AT tires. I feel like at $12k it’d be tempting, but for nearly $20? ND.
God how I’d love a standard cab, manual, bench seat, 4x4 pickup with an operable full rear glass. I don’t care about the stickers but this checks so many boxes for me just in fun/utility. I haven’t bought a used vehicle in a long time so no idea about the price, but if Ford offered this configuration today (with the…
I don’t know if the comparison to the Queen Mary is apt at all. The British Government had the same requirements for the QM (and QE) as well - including that they be fast, and strong, and able to contribute to the war effort. Which, they both did to incredible success.
I’d have to imagine it would cost somewhere north of a billion to make the ship habitable even as a stationary office/living space. Only an insanely rich person with a passion of the ship would even consider restoration, there will never be any sort of profitable business case.
