Eh, ND. To me the fun of a crazy-ass car like this is the build. It’s be silly excitement for a few weekend afternoons, but once you’ve taken your buddies for a their pointless 20 minute “holy shit!” ride, no one — including yourself — is going to be all that excited to drive it. After that its always going to be too

Honestly, if you feel a need for a CT in your life this is probably the smartest way to do it. You’re looking at about $40,000 over 3 years of usage, so that locks in your costs against possible depreciation. Instead of buying you keep more of your money invested and working for you over those 3 years, and by the end

This news is going to make about 4 U.S. drivers happy.

Plus, you can drive a Rivian all day long without people giving you the finger or laughing at you.

Illuminated logos on the grille.

Any chance we can chain Captain Cheeto to the helm and watch him go down with the ship?

I dunno. It’s notable for its performance and maybe its design, but is it really historic? I mean, if it was named the “SS Lancaster” do you think there would be half as much interest in saving her?

It’s going to be cool to see her underway on the last voyage. It’s bittersweet to see a grand old lady like this retired, but this one is long past saving and clearly no group/city/foundation sees any value in pouring untold millions into the rehab, insurance, mooring, upkeep, etc that this thing would require. Bon

Absolute NP. Lots of potential buyers for this thing — new/teen driver, collector, middle aged nostalgia buyer, summer/beach runaround car, FL retiree, or frankly anyone with a $4K budget that needs something generally reliable.

In this case it’s the journey, not the destination. Literally.

Ironic that so many of the right-wing nut jobs adopted the “Don’t Tree on Me” flag over the past few years and then elected a government that literally by design is planning to talking away rights by the bucketful. IMHO every true supporter of the Constitution, every Harris voter, and everyone with open eyes ought to

Price seems a tad high for the conditions but really, you aren’t likely to find another one of these anytime soon and the buy price is just the beginning on what could be a very fun restoration project (and one that you could probably fit in your garage, too). If it were closer to me I’d be making plans to go look at

Man, that’s clean. Tip of the hat to whoever took care of this thing all those years.

A German car that tries to differentiate itself on tech? And a company that’s a kissing cousin to VW, too? Good heavens, they might as well hype up the service departments in the ads, too, because I’d expect to spend a lot of time there.

“Everyone in the cyber truck survived”. Nice way to obfuscate the truth and ignore the person that was flung from the wreck and is in critical condition.

I have to say I’m more disappointed than shocked. I couldn’t even watch the results last night as I thought there was a good chance this was coming. My only hope is that enough of the MAGA politicians now realize that they’re going to own the blame for whatever harm they do and show some little bit of common sense and

Hell, Trump probably approved it.

I used to have a C3 Corvette with the filler up there in the middle of the rear deck. I think that anxiety took a cumulative 6 months off my life.

Good luck with that. Maybe at 1/4 the price, but I don’t see a lot of collectors kicking a Porsche or Ferrari out of the collection to make room for something like this.

Neat car, but why would you want to spend $8K on it plus the costs to store, maintain and drive it? It’d be akin to finding your granddad’s flashlight from 1970 in the bottom of an old toolbox. Sure, it still works, but it’s dim, heavy, and practically useless compared to anything else made in the last 20 years.
