Well, to paraphrase another icon of the 70s, “If this is you bag, baby, it’s groooooovy!” You’re not going to find one cleaner, so if this is the car you just have to have it’s an offer you really can’t turn down. Nice Price for the hard-core nostalgic or the guy hoping that key parties make a comeback.

Meant that to be sarcastic, of course. I probably should have added “s0-called” before “super genius”.

It would be an impressive one... pretty hard to fake a tornado AND taking 5 other lives with you.

Even the “cheapest” car here is probably at least 2X the net worth of 99.7% of Americans. This country needs more tax cuts for the rich, I say! /s

It appears that even super-genius Musk is gullible enough to be a Trump supporter. I guess Musk isn’t aware of the fact that everything Trump touches dies, and everyone who associates with him ends up under a bus.

Too many red flags flying here for me. Above and beyond the DMV landmines you’re sure to face, why wasn’t the easy stuff done? Couldn’t the seller bother to give it half-decent cleaning before taking the pics? What’s up with the black marring/cracking on the right side of the tank? Is it missing the right side rear

24 inch wheels? Good lord, can we stop already? This crap is why everyone is complaining that everything is more expensive these days. Probably $2K plus just to get a new set of tires, and crappy ones at that.

Lol. Most of the artists I’d pay to see are dead.

Hard to say if that’s justifiable. Let’s say this truck driver has to drive 2 hours out and back. That’s 2 hours he’s not pumping gas into other stations. For instance, on a regular route where gas stations are right around the corner from each other he might stop 3-4 times in those two hours and sell another 20,000

There’s a place like that near the Tampa Airport, too — last easily accessible gas station as you get off I-75 on the way to return your rental, and the gas price is about 2X what you’d expect to pay. I learned that lesson once, the hard way.

So the alternative is simply to buy gas before heading into the desert — that’s the way the everyman can take a stand against the perceived price gouging.

Some good deals there, especially the Porsche. The CTS is a solid car, the Mustang and T-Bird would be fun, and the Escalade seems like a steal. Not really a stinker in the whole lot.

Wow, just wow. That’s like some joke idea that got past the people that were supposed to be paying attention.

I always thought the Audi Rosemeyer concept car of around 2000 was a seriously confused idea. Retro? Futuristic? Steampunk? Bauhaus? Cartoon?

And they’re suggesting that $3.59 is average? So you can get it for less at half the stations???

Supply and demand, baby. Same price structure on cruise ships and movie theaters. And in defense of the gas station, a little pre-planning with fueling up before driving into the desert and traveling with plenty of water is simple common sense.

Looks like about as good of a 3-series of this vintage as you’re going to find, and I bet this delivers a delightful, near-analog driving experience. I say NP because buying any BMW of this vintage is going to be a bit of a financial commitment, whether you spend the money up front for a good clean one or spend it

Sounds to me like “Mustang” is going to be the brand for Ford’s ICE passenger car models going forward, then they can corral all the EVs under the Ford name. That of course means that the next Mustang Mach-E will become just the Mach-E.

To be fair, those were pretty good looking cars for their time, and a decent value. The problems was they were Chryslers, and that reputation was a big hill to climb.

While they seem to lose a ton of value over the first year, is it my imagination or do decent EVs sort of plateau for years 3-6? I mean, used Model 3s are attractive if you can get past the Musk factor, and it doesn’t seem like you can find good ones priced in the teens just yet.
