American Muscle is dead? Tesla, Lucid, the C8, the Mustang (ICE and electric), and a whole lotta other cars would be happy to line up against the hardest Firebird of the 70s, 80s, 90s or 2000s.

Elon really ought to spend a few of his dollars on a PR consultant. It’d be money well spent.

Holy crap, did I just wake up from a 30 year coma? Where’s my flip phone? And who’s running for president these days?

Tough call, but I’m going ND. It really comes down to “How badly do I really want an old Volvo Wagon” vs. “How badly do I want to clear $10K out of my savings?” I mean, this is a pretty sweet configuration and the mileage isn’t unreasonable. But still. I think if the seller had bothered to wash/detail it before

LeSabres from that era are the ultimate stealth vehicles. Big comfy seats, crank up that Delco/Bose stereo, and run the interstates at 100mph all day long.

I voted NP but with the thinking that the car is worth a call to look at. But you gotta get the seller down to about $6K.

I’m not saying that every Ford, Chevy and Honda that comes off the assembly line is perfect, but 95% of the anger and angst that customers have against an automaker is because of the lousy dealership experience and is not the fault of the automaker. If all these independent dealers did a better job of being fair and

Mostly impressive truck, but the cost and the MPG make it a no-deal for me. If I’m spending $50 I want more room in the cab and, frankly, I believe many full size trucks can manage similar MPG.

Spot on. I’m curious to see what hype/promise/BS he comes up with to bump the stock.

I’d pass. A few grand more would get you cleaner truck with fewer miles, and the lift and big tires on this guy me me think it’s going to be sluggish, uncomfortable, and have added stress on the driveline. Plus it’s rusty and it looks like the rear bumper and seat have been replaced, so I’m guessing this truck is

Man, Cracker Barrel is just sitting on a goldmine here. All they need to do is add 30 or so chargers per location and they’d be the gold standard of interstate charging. Think of it — they already have a location every 45 miles or so, people stopping and eating at their restaurants, paying money to charge, and then buy

I guess this one is such an obvious ND that no one even needs to play the “And it’s in Florida” card?

I absolutely hate the fact that this situation is a reality.

As others have said, pull over as far as you can to make it safe for the officer to approach, roll down the windows and turn on the interior light at night, both hands on the wheel, and be calm and quiet. When spoken to be respectful and honest. Respect is a two-way street, so earn theirs and you’ll get the same in

Ironically overall EV adoption would probably be much stronger if Elon had never opened his mouth and turned off his core market of affluent, influential, eco-caring customers. Imagine if we had all bought a Tesla... all our friends and family could have been exposed to them and they would be far more Riley to have

1st Gear — I can’t wait for April 23rd when Tesla announces its Q1 earnings. I’m making popcorn.

And a *self-driving* car, at that!

As a 50-something male I just don’t see the value in these old cars. They’re lousy to drive, suck gas and just make you look like a sad old man driving around in them. Even these guys’ wives are tired of going for rides in these things. Fast forward about 10-15 years all the boomers that pined for these will be dying

Not always. Audi had a pretty distinct corporate look for a while back in the 80s. I still dig the simplicity.

Gonna be something to see how this things are holding up over 5 years or so. We may have to bump Lucas electronics from the top of the joke-reliability pile.
