NP because:

“Lock him up!”

Strip off the lame pace car graphics (and the American flags -- of which the one on the passenger side is disrespectfully flying in retreat on the passenger side) and get the price down to about $7,000 and you have a decent work truck for local running errands and hauling the boat to the boat ramp a few times a year.

I’m sure the family will be setting up a GoFundMe page within the hours — if they haven’t already.

You know what’s really scary? I read that headline and clicked the link expecting to see an article about something being added to a Mach-E. Damn you, Ford, your evil vehicle-name associations are working!

On our local news a few weeks ago there was an interview of a woman at a school board meeting protesting something in Florida, likely advocating for more books to be banned or something. Regardless, there she is in her “Lions Not Sheep” truckers cap, and all I could think was, “Ok, so you paid someone for a hat —

Props to all the owners along the line that kept this thing so clean, but if I want a slow, old Toyota-ish conversation piece so badly that I’m going to spend $10K, I’m going to find a slow, old Toyota.

I see big jacked-up trucks with lights galore, booming stereos, ten stickers boasting about their hatred of people that think differently, their love of the constitution (though often not their understanding of it), their allegiance to some cult, their preferred firearm and their unwillingness to engage with women

If we can get our best and brightest minds on to the task of actually aiming it at something, I have a target list I’d be happy to share. Starting with a particular luxury residence in SE Florida...

I was going to say NP until I saw the miles. It’s like meeting a willing chick in the bar and then having a guy in the restroom warn you that she’s got herpes.

Exactly. The first wave of luxury BEVs were/are priced to cover development costs and they’re sold largely to EV-enthusiatic people with a decent amount of discretionary money. The “real” BEV market is going to be working class stiffs, and prices above the mid 40Ks are going to be tough to justify.

I wonder if the back seat still smells like the dog that tormented that seat? Regardless, pretty nice survivor, but sadly not a car I’d really enjoy owning or driving much. ND, but I hope it finds a new caretaker, likely for around a fair $9K price.

Man, that photo of Musk really says it all. He’s in some expensive skybox surrounded by people that have no interest in him, In fact, there’s so few people that want to be with him that the seat next to him is available for a 7 year old. And there his sits, looking like an unkept schlump, unhappy and out of shape.

Porsche 928. Like Cobras ready to strike.

These cars where what so many of us learned to live with when we were teenagers. They traded hands for about $500 and you came to know the value of having a set of jumper cables in the trunk and having a quarter handy in case you need to find a payphone. For those of us with stick shifts we knew how to keep revving

Not that I give her a pass here, but her parents failed her and the educational systems failed her — clearly no one ever taught this young lady about financial prudence. We need to do better as parents and better as communities. Sadly it’s the wacko-extremes that seem very adept at derailing the best efforts of school

And why is the listing on the Salt Lake City, UT craigslist page?

Irony - This is a beautiful, well-built car that, as sales have proven, not a lot of people want. NP, but small market.

I noticed that, too. I don’t know if that’s simply “hand-craftmanship” from the factory or some sort of home-brew repairs over the years, but it certainly gives me pause to consider how the rest of that car is built.

This reminds me of wooden-boat restoration math:
