True - it’s typical workplace behavior. It still sucks. But with the Wing - not that many organizations wear their girlboss/girlpower feminism as a badge of so-called honor. It’s bad enough to work in this type of hostile environment in any company, but it’s even worse when your workplace practices are so antithetical…
As my partner says - H.R. Sucks-n-stuff. (Sorry - old timey reference)
So many unfulfilled Karens...
One of my favorites - Next Stop Wonderland. Strong female lead - and surprisingly, the couple-to-be/protagonists don’t meet until the last five minutes of the movie.
I once worked at UR as an admin. The results of this report and Seligman’s response are not surprising, given the University’s penchant for bullying and gaslighting dissenters. Reminds me of a fortune cookie I received after a Thai meal. “You have many ways of being defective.” It was fucking hilarious (and maybe a bit true)!
"God's Subcontractors"... love it, it's going into my fav phrases vault...
It wasn't a safety school when I attended back in the day...at least for women. For men - it may have been an easy application process, because the men I knew from my hometown could get in with no problem...which sucked. Of course, UVa and W&M were top unis, and JMU was #3.
