Same. Fifty six years for me and I've never heard of or seen these in Chicago.

I wipe down before and after. I would estimate not even half the people wipe down the machines after using. It’s disgusting.

Steingold’s is overrated, and expensive for what you get. Super stingy with the meat in their sandwiches. The Bagel in Lakeview is way better.

As a fellow Eye-talian, let me add greaseball to the insult list.

Wal-Mart is a horrible company that rules employees by fear and intimidation. My mom worked for them for years. They threaten employees with termination if they turn down a shift or are called last minute to come in and work. They give employees a 20% off coupon for ONE ITEM as a Christmas bonus. They cut full time

You are so on the money.

-once upon a time diehard music fan (now a 25+ year music industry vet) who had the blissful naivete sucked out of her because of her job.

As someone who has tried many brands of CBD to see what helps my insomnia, Hemp Bombs were great. They put me to sleep. Also Gossamer Dusk CBD and CBN tinture is another good product that actually works.

Come on, Stormi, we you can do better than that: HARDER. MUCH HARDER.

I’m a Cubs fan and I agree with this take. They’ve priced hardcore fans out and turned the surrounding neighborhood into some ball mall hell-topia filled with even more hideous bro bars (which on non-game days the bars are mostly deserted or even closed).

I get my baseball fix at Comiskey or out in Rosemont to see The

Check out CBDHMU. They have a website (just add dot com after the name). They have a group on Facebook too. Nothing but praise—foks swear by their stuff, and they are more than happy to answer any questions you have. Benji, the guy that runs the company, started making this stuff to help with his own debilitating pain

My mom, a Chicago transplant who’s lived in North Carolina for almost 25 years, makes her sweet tea on the stove. Boil 2 quarts water, while boiling add 2 family LUZIANNE tea bags (IMPORTANT—ONLY LUZIANNE BRAND), boil for two and half minutes, remove from stove and remove teabags. Add sugar to taste and let cool

Poor man’s lobster is monkfish.

Or you can do what I did to get through a packed crowd at Lollapalooza: put your hand over your mouth and say, “I’m going to throw up!

Works like a charm.

Made this last night. Delicious! Going into our regular rotation. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Broadway and Belmont was my old neighborhood too. Hell, I remember when they still had the peep shows on Broadway by Nancy’s Pizza. Used to be a great 5am bar by Broadway and Diversey called Brian Boru’s. Another ok dive was Friar Tuck’s, which is still there. Yeah, I remember when Hopleaf used to be good, too. Now

Agreed--Simon’s IS great and thankfully hasn’t changed. And now it’s Glogg season!

Wholeheartedly agree with everything you say. No complaints about the ballpark renovations but the neighborhood around Clark and Addison is starting to look like that tacky Rosemont entertainment mall. All the character of the old neighborhood is gone. Nisei and G-Man are the last two good bars around Wrigley. The Pian

Pete’s on Western is godawful--I don’t get the love for this place at all. I used to live a few blocks from there. Ordered it once—crust was like cardboard and the pizza utterly flavorless. I ended up tossing it.

THANK YOU FOR THIS RECIPE! This has become a staple in our house and I have shared it with everyone.

The first time my 83 year old mother made it, she polished off half the pie in one sitting. The next day she mowed her three acre lawn with a push mower just to burn off the calories.

Don’t get up to those parts often. I don’t know if they have delivery, but up north I highly recommend Barnaby’s. They’re in Niles, Des Plaines and Northbrook. Also, Union in Evanston (connected to the music venue SPACE) has some good, albeit pricey, wood fired pizza.
