@Michael Dukakis: On the contrary I really felt the whole video was rather forced.

@TrjnRabbit: That's a very good point. I think where the whole trash-talking/sledging thing falls down is in the hands of 12-16 year olds.
@alextuker: I have to say the vast majority of trash-talking Ive encountered comes from America. I blame the sports culture.
So do we design games because we love games, enjoyed them as children, and want to strive to make the best games for ourselves and future generations to enjoy? Or do we want to abuse human psychology to make money?
@BronzeSoldier: No you're not the only one, but there are no 'open-ended' levels in other 3D mario games so I'm not sure what you're talking about there.
@kilevvri1: Those are exactly the steps I went through. Though I think I passed through them in the space of two episodes of her show.
I would only rate one of the episodes and even that one could only be considered 'alright' (and really it is benefitting from a comparison to some of the other terribly overwrought episodes).
@Freija: Don't worry they're going to spread them between countries that acutally bought Shen Mue. So there should be one for every person.
Don't promise when you can't deliver.
There nerdiest thing about this is not the Master Chief costume, not the wedding candles shaped like plasma grenades, not the music, it's not even the cake. It's the "thumbs up" in the top photo.
@Livingtarget: Is airborne, Is meant to be surrounded!: Hence I said they have made some half-decent games (purposely being understated so that you'd get the implied meaning - 'some good games'). I understand if you didn't read that far it was a bit long.
There's a point with franchises when it becomes less about selling it to the consumer and more about pre-selling orders to a retailer on the basis of the recognised brand name. It doesn't matter if they're not selling, it takes several iterations before a buyer at a major retailer wakes up and stops buying - retail…
Girls like Pikmin because Pikmin look like they need help and want to be cared for. Girls want to look after them. Girls are caring.
@Kiaza: Well that ain't what they cost around the rest of the world. Or should HDTV Xbox 360 gaming be made exclusive to America? I mean most Japanese don't have huge TVs anyway so I guess this could be why the Xbox is not doing so well in Japan.
I think the real reason people got annoyed with this announcement is the way Kotaku reported it. The tone of the report makes Bioware seem flippant and arrogant. When in fact their response might not have been quite so blasé.
Did anyone else notice a lot of cheating going on on Xbox Live last night? I had Tanks storming the safe areas and surivors leaping 50 feet in the air with infinite ammo.
@Kiaza: Where do you live? They cost $1000 minimum where I'm from.
@BryceMeiklejohn: That's right, because the core gameplay of Modern Warfare is not what makes this game good, it's only good because of the visuals. Horseshit.
They should bring back Eternal Darkness so that everyone who raves about it can see that it really wasn't as great as they remember.
@Ashurahori: That's not just madness, it's insanity. Rebel Strike took all the annoying parts of Rogue Leader and made a game out them. The only good level was the speeder bike and even that was only good if you squinted your eyes and didn't think about it too much.
