So what you’re saying is... Willrow Hood’s ice cream maker was designed to look like a popular in-universe safe?!

If I had to guess, I’d say that it’ll be their big focus at E3 2020 and then we’ll see it that fall. That’s just a guess, though! No inside info here.
They were on a space kiln/factory/volcano planet called, “Mustafar” fighting while balancing on floating robot buckets, using laser swords and something called, “the force,” to attack each other, and you’re going to point out that the high ground means nothing in a sword fight?
So Archie Andrews is a jedi?
And the Exile is canonically a woman!
Tell that to the thousands of Jawas I slaughtered in Super Star Wars. History is written by the winners and I won. My 16-bit Luke was a hero.
This looks incredibly bland. The protagonist looks and sounds cookie-cutter as all hell, while the lightsaber gameplay is less interesting than what Jedi Academy did more than a decade ago.
I love Respawn and will obviously reserve more concrete judgement for when I actually, y’know, play it, but man that was underwhelming. Of course it’s alpha gameplay so some things are just not going to be super polished but it just feels really herky jerky to me. I remember trying the Force Unleashed games and…
To use the term of the mid to late 2000s... ....
All the storm troopers sound like such normal dudes. I feel kind of bad for them as characters. And when you contrast them with the stoic—basically robotic—protagonist, it’s like “Who’s the real baddie here?”
I for one am excited that Archie Andrews has joined the Jedi Order. I bet Jughead is a bounty hunter now and they have to fight. Can’t wait for the big moral choice scene where Betty is like “come back to the light, come back to me!” and Veronica is like “bitch, you know you want to join me in the dark side. We…
Someone should tell the big studios that. Between Force Unleashed and this, it kinda seems like you’ve gotta be a white dude to be a Force user.
YES THIS, why simply why? Star wars universe is incredibly vast and they limit you to being human? come on...
Yeah, this is another reason why I wish they went the Jedi Academy route. Then you could pick the gender -and- race.
It’s not even that it’s a dude but that it’s bland as fuck. Every SW protag is the same generic looking person (typically White, man or woman) while all the other characters have the cool costumes and itmes.
The combat looks pretty basic and stiff to me. Very much alike to The Force Unleashed. At least give these Jedis some level of finesse and be able to chain their attacks between troopers like in Shadow of Mordor. The kill one enemy, kill the next enemy, kill the next enemy routine is gonna get old quick with no combo…
I would prefer a game like Jedi Academy. Where you make your own Jedi. KotOR was canon, too, and even though Revan is canonically male it was still nice to play as your own character.
I generally prefer female protagonists and relate to them better.
This looks disappointingly on-rails.
I sure wish I didn't have to be a dude to be a Jedi.
