I think Rage Against the Machine are more Ice-T's generation than "these kids".

Isn't Penny Dreadful basically League of Extraordinary Gentlemen done right?

There's a good story about how he laid down that solo for the record while fall down drunk

The Hold Steady's Joke About Jamaica. Especially the talk-box bit.

…and switch Adam Driver out for Matthew Perry

Tovah Feldschuh or Kate Mulgrew.

"you get to keep it"… until the media deteriorates or the format becomes obsolete and you can no longer get hold of the players (says a guy with an attic full of VHS cassettes).

I'm with you but even better than the trailer was the opening title sequence. Of course when that's the best thing about the movie there's a problem somewhere.

Susanna Hoffs. In fact my answer is probably still the same.

Is that Jim Anchower?

As good as could be hoped for and I'll watch it. As someone who moved from the UK to the US after season 3 of GBBO and now watches the old episodes on Netflix as my only concession to any kind of homesickness I feel reasonably comfortable with these choices.

No but you see the clever bit is he's savage and oppresses people.

> As it stands, she seems to have no motivation: a hard-edged loner one moment, a Rebel idealist the next.

I don't actually hate Fight Club I just think there are people who like it way too much for all the wrong reasons. And yeah, with a couple of exceptions I'd take 1999's slate of movies over 2016's.

The Matrix: Visually innovative but overrated.
American Beauty: vastly overrated, actually very mediocre.
Magnolia: pretentious and relies on grandstanding performances, good soundtrack, though.
Fight Club: proto-gamergate teen boy angst screed.
Being John Malkovich: Fun but basically (Moe voice) weird for the sake of

Paltrow—a proponent of the KonMari method of organization, which compels its followers to only hang on to objects that “spark joy”
