I really like Out of Sight but a friend of mine once pointed out how problematic its treatment of race is and I've never felt quite comfortable about it since. Like Clooney is just this suave white dude who swans through prison amongst all those vicious black guys and ultimately sacrifices himself to stop them.

It's one of those shows where if you've seen A Touch of Cloth (and you should) you've basically seen it already. It's well cast, well acted, well made, but just so utterly wedded to formula and stock characters that it's not remotely interesting.
