The higher concentration of people was inside it, so that decreases chance of attack.

Serious ‘Blair Witch’ vibes going on with that video. But... damn. That thing sounds and looks like a ton of fun.

I mean, that’s a valid approach but when you’re talking about 100k+ cars I’d rather just know what’s worn out and do that work myself OR have my own mechanic do it so I have confidence in how well it was done. Invoices only show you what someone got billed for, it doesn’t tell you if it was done right, if you know

Where the hell is anyone finding a $5,000 128i with a MANUAL?

At the same time, eliminating the noise could open up new areas to racing that were previously off limits and out of the question precisely because of the sound.

Rallycross in a downtown park could bring tons of fans.

It’s hilarious when you read all of the posts saying that this is “only worth $2k.” It’s like they haven’t’ shopped for used cars in two decades.

so...FIRST, this is NOT “Batwoman”

That’s a wear item.  It’s like saying the car need brakes.

The $5-6k options on AutoTrader will also need a clutch soon. Maybe in a year, maybe in a week... Who knows?

It allows someone with mechanic ability to buy this at a great deal, or be picky about which parts to put in. On my Mini, when the clutch was replaced, I took the opportunity to spend another $1200 on other maintenance while the sub-frame/front end was off. Some people are picky about where they get clutches repaired

That’s exactly right.  Cars are listed all day long as “mechanic specials.”  I’m not a body man, so I wouldn’t buy a car that needs $2000 worth of rust or dent repair. But if I had that skill, and the tools to do it, it may be a good deal.  This is entirely how wheelers and dealers work.  You find a car that needs

It’s a no-win situation for the seller.

Whether or not you can fix things yourself is absolutely part of the equation. I’d have that clutch swapped in a couple hours and save a few grand. NP.

Clutch replacement is easy-peasy. No way I’d pay this guy $1k to swap-out a clutch I could knock-out on a Saturday morning.

You’re the one whose math doesn’t make sense. Why would someone pay $1000+ of their own money just to list it for $1000 more? You are literally getting no return of investment for your money. If you spent $2000 money to get clutch fix you are literally losing money.

NP. I owned one of these and it’s a brilliant little car that looks a bit like a fish.

What am I missing? This seems like a no-brainer - fun, compact, stick-shift, RWD...

Straight six, manual, two door sport coupe? Even at the mileage and with a clutch replacement in the budget, it’s a certified driver’s car deal at $4,000.

It’s good to see the RC cars of my youth being upsized, and once again becoming exactly what I would love to have.

I have a 2011 silverado that had 60K when i bought it for $21,000, throw in a new set of tires. This thing is older, more mileage, and just as much. WTF?
