I saw 2 speed traps in under a mile on the highway during my rare excursions into the outside world the other day, and the week before I saw 2 on different sections of highway in the same half hour.  Seemed like there were more than the usual traps.

Sure, the road will handle 100mph, the car might handle 100mph, but the rest of the traffic on the road not expecting some selfish shitbag to closing at 30+ mph over the limit, not so much.
