It amazes me that there are people that are in control of that much cash would also be the same people that would spend that much cash on something so ridiculous.  I’m certainly not an “Eat the Rich” type, but good for Jacobs for separating some Rich halfwit from their money.

Cheap enough, and clean enough, that if it were near me I would buy it just to make my home improvement projects less of a hassle. In my neck of the woods $3500 gets you a truck that whistles in the breeze.

This is poetry.

I bet you get put on a list when you buy one of those things.

The US government has not been fiscally responsible at any point during my lifetime, or my father’s lifetime, or my grandfather’s lifetime. Additional revenue wouldn’t have changed their response in the slightest.

They also have big fangs and claws.  I will definitely abide by social distancing rules from them.

No shit, Sherlock. No one, corporation or private individual, wants to pay more for anything than they have to.

Wait, what? The government has given us everything we have today?

It wasn’t just the fact that it was a lemon, it was the entire experience, from the dealer, to the service department, to Nissan Corporate.

What about our government, or really any government, gives you faith that they could protect us better if they only had more funding?

And it is the pursuit of these profits that drives innovation. When’s the last time you’ve spoken with someone that escaped any of the “great” communist/socialist societies? (Have you noticed noone “escapes” from the capitalist societies, we just emigrate? That we don’t need to build walls to keep people in?)

Wow, now here’s an ignorant take. If profits are stolen wages, what are taxes?

Yeah, I was on a boring conference call, so I didn't really have anything else better to do.

No, not really, given that the author’s point of view is largely lazy and ignorant. It doesn’t really warrant further exposition.

I don’t seem to have a problem being paid well, companies want to retain their top talent. Paying them next to nothing doesn’t do that for long.

Frankly, I can summarize the author’s entire point of view in two words: “Profits bad!”

Can you expand upon your feedback?

It can be, but companies have a hard time continuing to exist if they continue to spend cash while not bringing any in.

Shilling: Automakers laying employees off is bad!

Desperate times call for desperate measures, my dude.
