A monorail doesn’t have to deal with any distractions. It travels on a completely fixed route in a completely controlled environment. There are sensors that tell it the doors are closed and where to stop. They are not much more than a horizontal elevator.

There's no way I would ever purchase something like this.  We may get to the point where autonomous cars work well in sunny cities with reasonably nice roads, but I just don't see them getting to the point where they will work in near whiteout snowy conditions on rural roads with no markings.  I've seen how hesitant…
