We are currently import ~20% of our demand for oil. Of that 20%, imports from Saudi Arabia account for ~10% of all imports.  SA only supplies 2% of our overall demand, way down from the 1970s peak.  We don't need their bullshit anymore.  

Fuck the Saudis.  They are not our allies, and we should not be supplying them with military technology or otherwise supporting their regime.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, and again, and again; Fuck the Saudis.  They are more backwards than the most hillbilly area of the US, they have no problem murdering journalists, and they are major state sponsors if terrorism.
