yes
I can’t speak to local regulations. But broadly speaking, the research (not just rhetoric) shows that voter ID laws are a “solution in search of a problem.” There just isn’t any substantive evidence to suggest the cost on the poorest members of our society outweighs the benefits of the ID requirement.
1) You’re not wrong.
2) That’s adorable. I’m pretty sure “state’s rights” in the 2000s only means “the ability to restrict access to abortion, commit civil rights violations against minorities, and enact modern day poll taxes via Voter ID laws.”
I see the Trump presidency is off to a good start: throwback limos!
re: Email of the week — he absolutely made the right decision, his only slip up was not being super suave about it. Missed opportunity. Who doesn’t want to be the creepy “let me help you put your underwear away” neighbor?
When I stand on the ground I’m not touching the ground. Duh. That’s just good ol’ NFL science.
I can live with the front. But the back - woof.
Hey, no judgment here. Before going out to start living my life, I stopped to read the comments section on a blog post about an obit of a guy I’d never heard of.
... but first, let me post on Deadspin. Those folks are gonna miss me!
Oh for sure. I really can’t wait to switch over. It just has to make sense.
Neutral: the fact that it’s an uglier version of the Honda Fit with the added hassle of (1) installing a home charging station, (2) maintaining a new technology, and (3) saving me a whopping $16 per tank on fillups... that’s what will doom it. And I say that as a huge fan of the EV future.
Are we sure *having* airbags wouldn’t be the most likely way to kill someone in the crash?
Little known fact: that actually happened. They just turned it into a commercial to make it look like it was all some sort of gag.
This is the only fan commentary that matters, from David -
Next time the driver will make sure he’s at 88 mph before starting the ramp. Bonus points for hitting the bell at the top!
I know sending review units to professional auto reviewers is important to the manufacturers. If they make a bad product, okay - everyone should know. They know the risk of sending out review units. (And I really hope this particular review is the subject of a marathon 8 hour meeting at Lexus design HQ.)
4th Gear: I care about technology, but not proprietary technology. Toyota, please get this message. I don’t want to use your app. I don’t want to have a sluggish OS that you haven’t really updated in years. I want Android Auto (or Apple Carplay or, better still, both) and a reliable bluetooth connection.
Why do you love profit more than you love giving me legroom, airlines?
