If nothing else she was very rude and unprofessional to a customer in public forum. If she had backed off and apologized, as smarter people do when they make a PR mistake, she might have kept her job and moved on with a warning.

I want to reiterate how unprofessional I find Price to be on social media in general, and that I think she deserved to be fired (but I hope she finds good work again). Her response was completely inappropriate and uncalled for.

ANet fired Price because she was representing the company as a terrible person. Tons of people liked her work, even Deroir has stated multiple times he liked her work and is big in the GW2 community so her blowing up on one of the largest influencers who has supported her is a huge factor.

You apparently didn’t read the thread. The guy backed off after her first comment and even apologized for engaging in a discussion in a public forum meant for people to talk to eachother. Price in her rants went on to say:
