I tried Clone Wars 3 times over the years and it never stuck. I had much of the same feeling as you. A few months ago I decided to try it again - with my wife this time - and HOLY SHIT did it stick. Seasons 4, 5, and 6 are some of the best Star Wars out there, and by proxy it made Rebels a fantastic show as well.
