After the train wreck that was Apocalypse, I have zero desire to the Dark Phoenix. I hold Days of Future Past in VERY high regard and Apoc completely derailed any excitement I once held in the franchise.

Well, if you have a 20 hour narration where one of the main characters is a child, you’re going to have to use an adult faking a ‘kid-voice’ ala Tara Strong. I just found the music to be like in a TV show and felt like it added rather than distracted from the experience.

I found all the voices to be done well. Sam is voiced by Haley Joel Osment and he does an admirable job. What really struck me were the ambient noises (doors closing, whispers, wind, etc.) that really set the mood. The fact that they got across 90% of what was happening without a narrator saying it (she opened the

I love Locke and Key, and if anyone hasn’t listened to the audio play on Audible, go do so. It’s fantastic and I found it even more interesting and engrossing than the comics.

No snark, honest question: do people here on Kotaku still play Destiny 2?

How the HELL doesn’t The Lion King make it to the Final Four in any bracket? If there’s a lock here, that’s it. And putting Up against either TS1 or 2 in the second round? Cruel?

Yup, and that’s a huge issue. I have major problems with “no child left behind” for this very reason. If someone is causing other’s to fail, than that person needs to be the one leaving. I guess that’s why I prefer my coaching over teaching: If someone becomes too much of an issue, I can say goodbye.

Not sure if this is some Modest Proposal satire, but sign me up. You can’t tell me they wouldn’t be better off. Hell, all of us would probably be better off.

Because all schools care about is what % of the dots the kids fill out correctly on the standardized tests. As for why don’t they make school more engaging, aside from the above, I feel it’s twofold.

On the one hand, part of me resents the fact that I grew up in a period before tech like this was available. Adult-me knows just how much kid-me would have taken advantage of this.

Auriel’s my shit. I don’t know why she goes up and down in the meta so much.

Ricky Baker!

Ok, Clark Kent. A moral code applied to a fictional character who can kill supervillains with the snap of his finger obviously applies to you as well. Good on ya’.

I think you mean Brett Butler, not Rhett. Great typo, by the way.

False equivalence is a logical fallacy in which two completely opposing arguments appear to be logically equivalent when in fact they are not. This fallacy is categorized as a fallacy of inconsistency”
