Marvel Unlimited is one of the best deals available, in any category. It’s saved me an insane amount of money.

I went with the intention of buying a small-ish 4K TV, but my willpower prevailed. That and the fact that I already have 6+ TVs/Monitors, but whatever. I couldn’t pass the crazy deals Best Buy had on games. Picked up the above lot for less than $100, and have Gears of War coming from Amazon for another $15. I think…
So, can you still kill everything in the game with an unshielded headshot? Yes.
True, but a fully charged plasma will still take down 100% of the shield and then one sniper shot to an unshielded head will still kill. Golden elites have stupid strong shields, but regardless of what difficulty you fight them on, you can take down their shields in one shot and kill them in one more. You can’t do…
A headshot is a headshot, regardless of difficulty. If they got a lucky sniper headshot on easy you were dead. Their aim is exponentially better on Heroic/Legendary, but their bullets don’t do more damage. A fully charged plasma pistol takes down your shield on all difficulties. Don’t speak of things you know nothing…
Bullshit. On Halo 1-Reach the enemies take the same amount of damage and so do you regardless of difficulty. Grunts in a single shot, jackals in 2, and an unshielded headshot is ALWAYS a kill. Certain Elites might have a more powerful shield, but those enemies can spawn regardless of difficulty. I don’t know what game…
How about bullet sponges with no real damage register that you can’t tell if you’re even damaging them and I normally really care about proper sentence structure and grammar but seriously why can’t I yell if my 30th battle rifle shot is even damaging them can you at least make them change colors or something instead…
I have 2 major issues with the 343i Halo games.
The only solace I can give you is this: get the local leader level 1 perk and assign settlers to supply lines. Every settlement that is linked this way shares resources so you don’t have to carry them from place to place.
Except, you know, I’m only referring to the functionality and display of the Pip-Boy. I’m disagreeing with one - maybe 2 - of his points. Not the entire article. But, go ahead and make it like I’m defending Bethesda on all fronts.
You know that Kirk mentioned in the article that the local map is a satellite image? His complaint was that it was on a terrible looking screen. Terrible looking screens are in Fallout for a reason.
Hence why I didn’t say anything about the user interface, only that the design of the Pip-Boy is 100% deliberate.
You can’t, with any credibility, say that say that the clunkiness of the Pip-Boy is anything less that a completely deliberate choice.
Deliberately holding on to old technology (cathode and vacuum tubes) is the same as holding on to archaic technology. We both said the same thing. With different werdz.
I would argue that many of these gripes are actually done to deliberately feel old and archaic. A full on satellite image or a nice 3d color map wouldn’t make sense in that Fallout world. Hell, computers in 2077 still used vacuum tubes and had monochrome screens with physical switches. It’s supposed to feel clunky…

Hey, Pete Carroll. I didn’t know you frequented Deadspin!
