I would argue that many of these gripes are actually done to deliberately feel old and archaic. A full on satellite image or a nice 3d color map wouldn’t make sense in that Fallout world. Hell, computers in 2077 still used vacuum tubes and had monochrome screens with physical switches. It’s supposed to feel clunky

Speak for yourself...

HI!

I love this. Guy is crying for a foul, when the other guy’s leg is backwards.

Hey, Pete Carroll. I didn’t know you frequented Deadspin!

It was over 50 years ago, and you’ve seen video of the assassination all throughout your life. Hell, I’ve seen it multiple times in public school. I chose a picture with no gore and blurred the background. Sorry to offend.

Glad I got a nod, but Bob Ross deserved to win.

I never really ‘got’ Wolverine until the past month or so when I read both Old Man Logan and the 2008-2010 X-Force. It’s amazing what good writers and fantastic artists can do with a character (and bad talent can have the adverse effect). Needless to say, Logan went from bottom of the barrel to top 10 in Marvel very

My personality is fine. The fact that all you care about is the ‘last word’ has more in common with your personality than my in jest username has to do with mine, no? If getting the final jab is all that matters: I leave it to you.

Thanks for an actual answer. Didn’t know Twitch had done this kind of thing before; I thought Bob Ross was the outlier.

Yyyyyyyeeeeeaaaaahhhhhh.

That is all.

Seriously, yours is the only comment so far that a) hasn’t belittled my question, b) attempted to answer my question, and/or c) hasn’t thr own any shade. Thank you.

Gotta be a record. 28 replies before somebody made that joke. You deserve a cookie.

Sorry, but at what point did I even imply that it ‘bothers’ me? Just because I don’t understand something doesn’t mean I’m upset by it. I don’t understand nuclear thermodynamics, but it doesn’t bother me. Oh, wait, this is the internet, so either I love something or I want to nuke it, right?

But, you see, every other example you showed is a live experience. Bob Ross is not. I think people here are finding that I’m ‘complaining’ about people watching The Joy of Painting. I absolutely am not, not even a little bit. My confusion - or lack of understanding, rather - stems from 2 things:

Bob Ross was and is amazing, and the more people that get to experience his program the better. I just don’t ‘get’ how Twitch is that platform.

And 100% live. The Joy of Painting is not live, and that’s where my ‘I-dont-get-it-ness’ comes in to play.

As I’ve stated a bunch here (who knew Bob Ross on Twitch was so highly regarded?) I love Bob Ross to the moon. I’ve watched him countless hours, and have ZERO problems with people watching his wonderful program in any way. The question I pose, is why Twitch? Twitch is made to watch and interact people live, not to
