The issue with 11v11 online Madden is in the complete diversity in positions. In basketball/soccer/hockey, etc. everybody essentially has the same roles: stop them from putting the thing in the thing and put the thing in the thing yourself. In football, not so much.
Speaking of ‘law of averages’, don’t base a game on one reviewer. Some people absolutely love the game, others find it just ok. This is the first ‘bad’ review I’ve read, and I still look forward to trying it out. Opinions and stuff.

My issue with Early Release is that by the time the game is actually finished, I’m already done with it. I never get the chance to experience the full, unadulterated final game. Even if I decide to start from scratch once the game is ‘finished’, it’s not longer virgin territory.

The RTS sequences were not near as good as the open-world action greatness, but calling them borderline unplayable is quite the stretch.
