I’m a native NYer and now split time between CO, AZ, and TX. Your take is 100% accurate. I remember my parents being baffled that my wife and I really needed two cars because we worked on opposite sides of town. My mom literally said, “why don’t you just take the train and she can take the car?” Keep in mind at that

I worked construction (heavy highway) for years and most guys drove late model sedans. Like 95%. the guys that drove trucks were usually foreman or supervisors that drove company trucks. The laborers, operators, masons, mostly drove 8-12 year old sedans and SUVs.

“actually work for a living”

You do realize Jalopnik is FILLED with writers who live and work near the center of NYC. I used to read almost every article on this site, now I visit about once a week to see if Andrew or David have any new content. You can’t have a perspective on America solely from the middle of its largest city...

I do. Its in the name. And its tiny valves.

Exactly. Some 8 cylinders identify as a 4 cylinder at low speeds.

If he’s any thing like me he has a soft spot in his heart for the straight eight. One of my favorite engines. On second thought maybe that soft spot is in my head.

Only if it’s a straight 8.

So they can legally drive, and buy insurance. That way your sorry ass is protected if you have an accident with one of them.

I mean it’s my job to cover news. This isn’t just car news you want to see, it’s all car news.

True...but then my mockup of a CPB space shuttle will have been pointless..

They really just added a 4 door option, like the Wrangler.

This is amazing. Congratulations, David. Not only was this an incredible accomplishment, but your daunting trips to Moab prove time and time again that most people give up on cars far too quickly. A car is never really dead. The fate of a car lies in the willingness of its owner to do what has to be done to keep it on

And there is the fact that Jorah and Sam share their own unique connection—Sam saved Jorah, so now he’s arming Jorah (the better warrior) in hopes of Jorah helping to save Sam’s family (Gilly and little Sam).

Just saying as a person of “color” or whathave you: Missandre and Greyworm’s scene was important because here they are willfully supporting the initial battle for these wypipo that sideeye them wherever they go. She mentioned her culture is peaceloving and doesn’t know war. She could easily be back home in Miami,

No kidding. Just the word ‘Bronco’ gets people excited. I think it has to do with the fact that there never really was an ugly one (I never count Fords that have the Roman numeral II after the name).

My spouse also hated them.  Then she sat in one.  Then we bought one.

I am seriously in the market for a proper wagon. I seriously considered the Ford Flex. Its gas mileage is 16/23mpg city/hwy and curb weight is 4400 lb. It’s 280 hp engine was designed in 2010 and last refreshed in 2013. Ford’s not letting it die in 2020. Ford killed it years ago and it’s just taking this long for it

It’s a minivan. But don’t tell anyone.

As one of the people responsible for it, it is an Executive Transporter.
