Frankly any automaker who feels above the law and violates the air we breathe (I don’t care how miniscule the amount of pollution was) The CEO’s should be fired and banned from any automaker position and the company banned from the country of violation for a period of time.

The car is going to sell out regardless and it’s not like Ford is depending on the sales to survive.
It’s not absurd at all from Ford, because they have twice in Automotive history created a product that bested the best. and if a badge is stopping you from paying what a car is worth.. well then, it’s not for you.
I don’t think the price is absurd in this day an age. Especially compared to it’s rivals when it comes to weight V performance.
