Jalopnik is one of the very few outlets that does not agree to informational embargoes. That means that other outlets sign extensive non-disclosure agreements, agreeing to sit on information for days, weeks, sometimes months in advance, and not say a peep about it until a manufacturer’s marketing team says they can.

It looks to me like it would be a Cadillac for some reason. That would be so left field for Cadillac.

Ok.

Am I doing this right..?

You forgot the best one! You even did an article on it already!

The drama, the spectacle, the OVERTAKING!

Definitely more interesting than an F1 race!

Desert sand formations tend to grow very slowly and in areas with very little rain like Death Valley, can be preserved intact for centuries or longer. Though not as spectacular as other natural formations they contain valuable information relevant to fields like geology and climatology because they function as time

This count?

Aaaaaaand the countdown to 2045 has begun

Joy? Also, you don’t need to nose-in to have an easier time parking something teeny. The EV we got at the end was neat, and had enough range for most commutes. Plus, it was something truly unique out there, which I always appreciate among the sea of ugly silver crossovers.

I’m still mad about the Smart car. The roads could use much weirder, more wonderful cars. What a legitimately fun, weird little car.

Congratulations, $kaycog on Comments of the Decade! I award you one Ford GT (...replica, but that means you can hoon it more), which this lil’ bunny friend will deliver to the hoon-spot of your choosing as soon as he can see over the dashboard.

STEF! We missed you!

I’m speechless, but with 36,895 comments, I haven’t always been speechless.  This post is the best prize ever!  Thanks so much, Andrew!

You rock. Seriously.

I just want to point out that although you were incorrect in your first post, it seems like you read through your replies & were a big enough person to admit to not knowing the whole story.

As I age, the shift of everything to a “you don’t actually own it, it’s a SUBSCRIPTION you pay forever” is turning out to be the first thing to make me full-on old man yells at clouds angry whenever it comes up in conversation. I guess it had to be something eventually, but it has been a surprise.

I didn’t read the linked articles. I didn’t realize how locked down they were. Yeah - John Deere can go fuck themselves with that shit.

You’re not wrong, but the issue here is that John Deere doesn’t want to release the tools to do that to the farmers.  On the automotive side we can just plug in our own scan tool if we want to own one.  That doesn’t seem to be an option here.
