Just did a little internet sleuthing and it seems that the first time the word was in a slang dictionary, it was the mid-1910s and was spelled ‘doozy’. But there are others who claim it definitely came from Duesenberg and doozy is just an easier slang spelling.

100% I would break my face trying to ride one of those.

I actually agree with this take. The E-type never did it for me, the proportions felt.... off.

Yeah, not bad; and it visually flows down into the rocker panel, too.

I think the Lexus IS handles this pretty well. The seam is kind of an extension of the taillight.
