Yes, but they were absolutely MISERABLE while they did it.

I suspect if either you or I achieved the greatest singular achievement in the greatest sporting event available to us in our sport, before a world-wide audience, we would feel justified in celebrating. Rightly. But self-righteousness is also really satisfying!

That’s the thing though, they aren’t kids. They’re full grown adults, playing against other full grown adults.

Well, they’re grown women, so presumably they would tell you to fuck off if you talked to them like children.

I think it’s pretty easy. Tell your daughters that when they get to the World Cup, they can enjoy the fuck out of a blowout. Until then, if they play in a league that has specific rules against blowouts, follow them.
