Here's a question I've always wanted to ask: if you've never seen either version of a film whose director's cut is supposedly superior, do you feel the need to watch the original cut first, or do you just go right to the director's cut? Yes it's a bit of a stretch, but I couldn't help but notice the comparison while I was watching the film, certainly not after Roxy goes on a lengthy and unnecessary diatribe against Cody and "Juno". Roxy in this is basically the same character as Boltie in "Super", except nowhere near as funny and much more obnoxious.
I saw this on VOD and honestly was disappointed. For me, the introduction of the Roxy character completely ruins the film. Whereas Frank's motivations feel real, Roxy never feels remotely realistic, and she grinds the film to a halt. I found her to essentially serve as a mouthpiece for Goldthwait to air his grievances…
