I jumped on the chance to be pedantic and ran with it. That other New York City baseball team that isn’t the Mets is way too close to a playoff spot for comfort and it’s turning me into an irrational goober.

I’m just making the statement that when the word on is used, it makes the speaker sound like a separate entity that happens to be on top of a line. As we all know, the actual line consists of people and someone that happens to be standing in one is considered a part of the line and is therefore “in” the line.

Another thing New Yorkers are wrong about. You’d have to pretty damn fat to be on the line, but if you’re skinny, you can fit neatly into the line.

Didn’t you know that the movie was called Soul Plain?

I would’ve figured that competitive hurling in Ireland would’ve been the result of drinking too much Guinness.
