A friend of my family was shot to death in her car in my parent’s neighborhood. She was in her driveway, her husband and kids were in the house. The police found the shooter, and the weapon. It was a sixteen year old kid. He was trying to steal her car. With a group of other kids.

If you dont tell your wife you take away her choice and her power to resolve this. No one here get’s to make that choice for her including the letter writer.

I have a slightly different take on that: If he doesn’t tell his wife—who clearly values honesty—about this, then she can’t make a choice as to whether or not being with him is right for her. And that’s the rub.
