Strange, I'm biracial and I've never had identity issues. But when I think about it, I'm certain that I don't 'identify' with being black or white, but being biracial.

I'm saying that, despite the fact that what these people say does indeed matter (as you rightly defend), but that the policies matter much more than the words.

Policy makers are often forced into positions of being spokepersons when that isn't their primary function. It's like asking a sports player to comment on their performance, a ridiculous proposition. They are sports players (or policy makers) not public speakers.

Wrong, it does not "absolutely" derive from socialization. And while socialization certainly influences these tendencies, a significant amount of biological and neurological evidence has also shown this to be true.

Most people have jobs to do, such as making broad policy decisions that will have the greatest impact on the most amount of people in the most efficient way possible.
