Why would you want to feel a sense of 'belonging' to an ethnic group? I honestly do not understand that desire.

Strange, I'm biracial and I've never had identity issues. But when I think about it, I'm certain that I don't 'identify' with being black or white, but being biracial.
Perhaps the best - and most accurate - movie ever made. And did you know that it was forcibly pushed out of theaters by the corporate interests that it lambasted? I hear that they're making a sequel, though...
I am 110% with you. Cops are nothing more than a government funded gang, armed and trained to forcefully relinquish citizens of their money and/or freedom.
While all that you've said is indeed true, I think that certain populations of women - black women in sharp contrast - indeed feel the brunt of the 'beauty industrial complex' more than others.
Sure, we might call it that.
While I personally think that weaves and other artificial hair systems (artificial anything, really, including nails, breasts, etc) are an explicit and tacit attack on black women's sense of internal and external beauty, I'm fully aware that my opinions on this matter not in the slightest.
Hilarious.
On this issue alone, I'm prone to agree with you.

Jason Schwartzman is very possibly the most attractive man in Hollywood.
I'm saying that, despite the fact that what these people say does indeed matter (as you rightly defend), but that the policies matter much more than the words.
Policy makers are often forced into positions of being spokepersons when that isn't their primary function. It's like asking a sports player to comment on their performance, a ridiculous proposition. They are sports players (or policy makers) not public speakers.
Wrong, it does not "absolutely" derive from socialization. And while socialization certainly influences these tendencies, a significant amount of biological and neurological evidence has also shown this to be true.
Most people have jobs to do, such as making broad policy decisions that will have the greatest impact on the most amount of people in the most efficient way possible.
My god, so many people will never ever seem to grasp this concept. Every time someone brings up an overall trend, a statistical probability, or anything shown to be more common than not at a mass scale...someone just has to bring up their own individual situation or some friend they have that is different. As if this…
Well, I for one cannot wait to add another person to an overcrowded planet of 7 billion people, only to live a life that demands buying metric tons of non-biodegradable plastic and creating more waste in one year than most other global citizens create in a lifetime.
It seems like you just spent a lot of time telling me and everyone else something we already know.
Well, and isn't that interesting?
Do you know what is mutually exclusive?
