No human being is "only" one thing. He most certainly was a murdering fuckwad, but he was also a father, a husband, and apparently a geek. Understanding how he thought and what he did on a daily basis could help us to find individuals that have the potential to fall in to similar thought patterns and either monitor or

I didn't end up trying the light lager with lemonade, but it is on my list for next weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.

I figured out the source of my linux installation problem from a few weeks ago, but have yet to find a good fix. The problem is that my 1TB hard drive as advertised is actually 2x500 GB hard drive with fakeRAID. Apparently ubuntu generally just pukes when confronted with such things.

I'll throw in a 2nd vote for crunchbang.. I used it on my laptop when I was in school and I was always able to squeeze out quite a bit more battery life than with Windows XP

Awesome. That is the first shot name in quite a while that has made me laugh out loud. I'll have to order it at the bar this weekend.

I care much less about work than I do home life, so it is always hard for me to answer the "5 years" question. I like your answer because it is more honest than most I could think of.

Work is making me crazy this week. Who has some good drink suggestions for a relatively cheap guy? I like beer more than wine, and I'm not a huge fan of scotch. Other liquor is fair game.

You are free to link to wallpapers you like in the comments. ;)

I would never suggest that OBL was a good guy. He clearly wasn't. I'm suggesting that dancing in the streets because you've killed someone of a radically different ideology isn't a good step in the "war on terror".

I was in the camp that posted the MLK quote. I didn't post it because MLK wrote it. I didn't post it because it is useful to speculate what MLK would have thought about yesterday's situation. I posted it because the CONTENT of the quote was relevant.

@THeFu

I know we have some Linux gurus on here, so maybe there is a quick answer..

How about just a cinematic mode? Isn't that pretty much what is being asked here? A button that lets you go through the game like a movie?

I was coming to the comments to say something similar. For the amount of time it takes to launch the command prompt, creating a shortcut seems unnecessary. Also, in Windows7, you can just hit the windows key and type CMD... no need for the run dialog.

Thanks all for the suggestions, these should keep me moving at a good pace!

Hey! That's my favorite price for an album :)

@All

I need some good songs for a new running playlist. What music do you listen to while running? Podcasts need not apply.

I've used Crystal Reports and was pretty slick once I got things figured out (mostly took time with the undocumented database). I've never tried SQL Server Reporting Services, so can't help you with the comparison.
