You’re trying way to hard for what was quite clearly a joke.

It has to be, right? The only one I could think of that might be anywhere in the ballpark MIGHT be Arthur Miller, and only because he’s on reading lists so often.
There’s no real reason to believe that Niantic has any idea what they’re doing, though, until proven otherwise.
“sorry you have trouble playing but you know, most of us DO pick where we live except for those not old enough to leave home”
There is so much fucking middle-to-upper-class privilege in this statement its kind of amazing.
That is your definition. It is not everyone’s definition. You are falling into the same fallacy as the dev who spoke about it.
See, I don’t see the “Jesus-y” thing.
That would be all well and good if the actual function in the game, the radar that is built in, actually worked (i.e. the “3 step glitch). But it doesn’t, and as far as I know they haven’t even acknowledged its a problem.
Does it, though? They’re saying flat out that using things like pokeradar or whatever make the game less fun. They are saying that as though it is objective instead of subjective.
This does not make them the arbiters of what would be considered fun by the people playing the game. That’s a mistake often made.
Niantic have produced a real clunker of an app here in several meaningful respects.
“It takes the fun out of it”
When developers say things like this, I kind of think they’re idiots. YOUR definition of “fun” is not a universal definition of “fun”.
I mean, I’d feel a lot more sympathy for that position if the apps own Pokemon finder actually functioned correctly...but since it doesn’t, and they have said word one about it, yeah.
I have just now, today, reading this article, realized for the first time that Harpo Studios was just Oprah spelled backwards.
Ahahaha, like, I know you can’t *actually* be this stupid because I don’t think anyone could be, but the trolling job is pretty great.
Man this whole thing depresses me because Grayson’s “GOP Health Plan” thing was the greatest thing I’ve ever seen on the floor.
Boring is typically the right call with a VP pick. The first rule of picking a VP: Do No Harm (to your ticket). VP’s almost never have any positive influence on vote totals, but they can absolutely have a negative one.
Good. Splitting up the 3rd act of a trilogy is a practice that needs to die a painful death and this looks like the ticket.
Shitty quality, but the best I could find:
“I took senior Physics and Biology and have literally never used either.”
Yes you have, you just don’t realize it.
And even putting that aside, the ability to think critically and have a basic understanding of science is important to create a population that isn’t suckered into nonsense like, for example, the anti-vax…
Yep. Exactly this.
