ID.3 will do just fine in Europe, it’s only not gonna do well in the US. But yeah, if VW wants to move these in the US, they need to plop a Tiguan body on this thing pronto.

Having rented a bit from the Hertz luxury lot, I can say the cars are mostly in great shape. My impression I that they are a perk for frequent business travelers who are too focused and bleary eyed to spend time abusing a rental car paid for on a company card.
My car has automatic high beams... but not automatic headlights. Cars are weird.
1 Toyota Tundra please.
I would love to snatch up one of these Hurtz livery MB CLA 45 AMGs. Low miles and only $37k. About $20k off msrp. I’m sure they were driven rough though.
Someone snagged it! There was a Volvo S80 with under 20k miles for like $14.9k. I hesitated and, as the adage goes, was lost.
Nothing looked very attractive to me until seeing a Lincoln Continental at sub $25k.
The article is referring to all cars on the road not new cars sold. Considering the average age of a car on the road is about 12 years, 20 years or more isn’t unreasonable for the average person to enter the electric vehicle market
$1100/month? Dude.
Who said these trucks would be moving across the country? How many Semi’s commute relatively short distances such as deliveries from distribution centers? I honestly not sure of the numbers, but I’m sure there is a niche to fill in the short term as they work towards long distance solutions over the next decade or two.
They’ll just electrify crossovers and not bother with expensive and niche compliance compacts.
Grass is always greener. Some of us want diesels and small cars; some of them want high horsepower for low prices. And I’d wager that they’d love a full-size pickup over there if their roads and parking lots were more accommodating. One of USA’s bonuses are our wide open spaces and the freedom of choice that allows.
I hope the guy who owns an RX-7 and Ferrari can at least help to replace that guy’s busted transmission, if not more.
I think a 1 Series with a stick will be a pretty cool car to have in the future.
What sort of undercoating or other rust-prevention has been applied to protect against salty armchair racer tears?
I don’t think it’s designed for use in roads, even neighborhoods. I imagine it’s for scooting around pedestrian city centers and big industrial manufacturing facilities and warehouses. Basically anyplace big and flat but where a regular car is too big and noisy.
Some of those are regular enough that I’m wondering if they’re intentional, like so that the frame can drain/vent the water that enters through the unintentional ones.
The nice thing is that it will be cheap gains. Here you go, more than double your HP for $100
Sadly, I think the quality issues I see were nothing compared to the 1980 Chevy Malibu my dad bought new. I also wouldn’t bet against this thing in a drag race either.
I ran a plate relocator that attached to the tow point in the bumper on my MkVII GTI. That being said, I agree with Torch being a resident of a state that requires a front plate and the last thing you want to be is a rolling case of probable cause these days.
