Agreed. Dot is just too smart and proactive to just leave that rifle sitting there. This is the same person who was willing to Home Alone an entire house for any extraneous unwelcome Trick or Treaters. I understand that seeing Bowman literally blown away by an unseen Munch was very satisfying plot moment instead of…
Nonsense. She could have easily grabbed the rifle back before going into the hole. It was done for drama....she’s defenseless.
Same. Silksong is the only game currently on my 2024 wishlist, but now I’m worried it won’t be this year at all.
She strikes me as Apolitical. Money is her only concern.
This is the second episode in a row where they had a smart character do something uncharacteristically stupid (Danish last week) in order to keep the plot moving from point A to point B. This even more than last week smacked of Hawley writing himself into a corner. Dorothy would NEVER have left that gun.
Loved this episode, loved Old Munch fucking up Gator in a life changing way, and I love Munch fucking up people in general, because everyone he’s gotten after the gas station mess had it coming. He has turned from weird thug to weird avenging angel. Loved Lorraine welcoming Dorothy into the family finally.
Repeatedly highlighting how much this guy sucked at this dumb gig really isn’t doing anybody any favors. It’s unnecessarily mean to a relative unknown, and I’d think AV Club writers would have at least a little empathy for people who aren’t funny but are desperately trying to be so on a bigger stage than their skills…
I haven’t seen Hollow Knight: Silksong on any of these “most anticipated of 2024" lists, so I guess we’ve given up on the pretense that it is coming out any time soon?!? I mean, I am willing to give Team Cherry as much time as they need to finish this, but the fact that they *had* a 2023 release date in mind at some…
I didn’t expect to see this set, but I was at my parents’ home when they decided to watch. (While I educate where I can, I don’t police what my family watches.) So, I sat through this before reading about it. And, I have to say, this article nails it. He sounds like an old fool; one of those guys you’ll hear in any…
This episode was a trip. Remember in Memento how in one scene, Teddy’s license plate is 7IU, but in another, it’s 71U? Something like that is happening here.
I’ve really really liked Loki, for all the fun TVA multiversal weirdness and everything, and I liked how the last few episodes worked out...
Jeez people are getting puritanical about drinking. They're adults. Let them do a bit of damage to their bodies if they enjoy it.
Jesus fucking christ, did he drink from the wrong grail!?
He sounds terrible. But just shouting “Leaving!” and dropping your costume upon your exit is fucking hilarious.
Except for The Golden Bachelor: There are a number of people on this site who, even though ‘reality’ TV has been around for decades, vehemently insist that it’s absolutely real.
Okay but hear me out. Maybe she, like me, had literally never heard of Jackson Mahomes before and had no knowledge of his legal issues?
Most articles in the AV Club these days, regardless of what the author meant to write about, are actually articles about how the author is desperately unhappy.
A dogwhistle implying that Jews control the media is not antisemitic? Wow, who knew.
Interesting. The progressive left can and will label anything they want as hate speech and quite literally equate said speech with violence, but a starlet says the Jews run the media—which the AVClub failed to report upon—and we’re supposed to give her credit for boilerplate mea culpa bullshit. Interesting.
