I think heidi.hole was trying to say that swastikas are a symbol of Hinduism, and in that context, are not considered racist or anti-semitic.
I think you are very brave for having read that book, given your experiences. I personally would never have been able to do that, if I had been in your place.
Ha! At my school, they taught us programming in 4th grade (and like actual conditions and iterations and stuff) and we also had cursive handwriting! You can totally do both!
I bought a $10 skinny jeans there last year, in a pretty cool blue colour I really like, and it's still wearable and in good condition, even though I've worn it quite a bit. So they do indeed have some good stuffs.
But the cut potatoes baked with spices is like waay yummier than fries, right? Those were like one of my favourite things as a kid
I immediately stay away from all the "fat-free" stuffs, because if I buy them I will have to worry about the stuff that's replacing the fats, and then I will spend ages looking up chemical properties of those ingredients...really, freshman chemistry was enough, there's a reason I'm not a chem major, and it's not so I…
If you're debating whether you will use something or not, this is a good way. Say you are thinking of a tablet. For a month before you make your final call, count the number of times you think: At this moment, a tablet would be useful. Then, if you think that 30 times or more (or 20 times or whatever your personal…
Now I don't feel silly for assuming that too...
I also think that if mankind has been eating something —across cultures— for as long as we've been around, I can safely eat it. Otherwise, evolution would have made us stop, amirite?
Oi! Me too, me too! I sometimes can't even tell not-so-good bread rolls from good ones.
Oh goodness, me too! At first I was like, wait that's not here NOOOO, but then I was like Oh. Not *that* scene.
This is the opposite of Twilight. The girl's independent and very skilled and has to battle for her life (and to save her sister). You should definitely try reading it.
I'd just like to say that I think your comment should be framed and put up at the start of every message board/forum/discussion thread that involve a comparison of various OSes.
I agree. I was never spanked, or given time-outs or whatever, just given simple, consistent rules to follow. Like, bedtimes and calling home when out, and no swearing. These rules changed very little over the years (well, bedtime became a curfew and was pushed back by a couple hours). It never occured to me to break…
But that kind of teeth will leave you with dentures in old age. I had that kind of crowding until a year ago (still on braces tbh) and all of my dentists told me it would make it harder for me to clean my teeth (which is true, plaque gets stuck in the weirdest places, and it's so freaking hard to clean!) and so I…
The desktop version does indeed have ads and stuff. It also force-installs a different search bar and defaults your search engine to their own search engine, which is pretty annoying, which is why I stopped using it even though it's otherwise useful (well, mostly in accessing pandora when out of the US....)
Yeah, that kept happening to me too. Then I finally managed to not blink for long enough for it to work.
The nerve of him!
As far as I can tell from walking past his books at the library, the books also look the same. I once read two books by Mr. Sparks, and I was mostly amused by how many kids he had had between the publication of the two books (his kids' names were mentioned on the blurb)
