When I saw trouble-bubble's comment, Kyoshi is exactly who I thought of too....

Grandmere AND Helen Thermopolis from Princess Diaries. I mean, Helen's Mia's mom, but Mia gets a lot of her feminist leanings from Helen. Also, that woman chose an Algebra teacher over a Prince! I think Helen's one of the best characters ever.

when I see the slideshow, it still shows 3 tips (Google Voice, kiddie pool, and the first cover slide) but I can see the whole thing when I click to view everything in one page. )

Hearted for the awesomeness!

people who design stuff often seem to think Apple products work better for them. Can't say, I'm not a designer, but so I often hear. People who work in the arts too say it's better, but like I said, I'm an engineer, so don't quote me on it and attack me for being a n00b.

"I buy new tech when the old tech breaks. "

Would this not just start a whole series of rights' discussions? Like uncles and aunts rights, then second cousins rights and great aunts rights and so on ? I mean, I've been closer to one of my uncles than even to my parents when I was a kid. It happens, people live with great aunts or whatnot too sometimes (I've had

I read somewhere that that would work and tried it, but it stopped freezing for a day or two before going back to freezing. Finally, it would freeze, and I'd switch to some other app for a couple of moments, and it would stop being frozen, but it was still annoying so I just downloaded 3.4 or something and that's a

FF 7 used to keep freezing with my Mac, so I just went back to using FF 3 (aka, Before the Madness Started) and decided that I'm not going to update FF anymore, because then I would have to abandon FF for Opera and I really like using FF better (Opera reminds me of difficult engineering labs)

I could not put it better. My cat helped me out during a major depression right after we lost our granddad. I would save my family and friends before Dots, but Dots before the neighbour who refused to drive my granddad to the hospital when he was having a heart attack. And I'm not white, and I don't even know who's

I must say, I love the fact that Newsblur shows the actual websites. Also, it keeps stuff marked unread for more than a month, so when I disappear into work, I can track my comics and suchlike. I use it for that reason a lot, although I primarily use Google Reader.

Just wanted to say that Lifehacker always saves my day. Just wanted a way to have a game-like software for Eating habits and google turned this up. I just signed up for Healthmonth and it's just what I needed.

I'm on my computer most of the time when I'm not in class or asleep or eating, if there is a computer available. Usually, this is looking at problem sets/lecture notes/college emails, but sometimes I do go off to a walk around the 'webs. This is also why I don't get a phone with internet access, no way do I want to be

My mum changed her last name to my dad's, because her first name and my dad's last name began with the same letter, and she really liked the alliteration.

Does everyone around here use razors for their ladybits? I always kinda just trim it. Now I feel like an ejjit :/

A pretty good free men's razer is the best kind. My dorm gave out soaps and whatnot and the womens' ones ran out by the time I carted my lazy behind there so I got the men's packet and they had the men's razers. And they were like Mach 3 too!

So if I'm reading this right, they sell razers to men that women find convenient, and the ones they sell women are the ones men find better? Wait WHAT?

Haha, I was thinking of that too. Whew, good to know I'm not a super weirdo. I just get all tingly though.

I, on the other hand, am totally cheap enough to do with. You can get two days worth of face cream this way. (I have weird skin and need loads of face cream)

And what about the geek girls who are scrawny, flat-chested, short-haired and with perfect vision? They never ever have those girls on TV/shows/books/movies. Or if they do, the girls ultimately end up getting breasts and growing their hair out, and voila! the swan is here!
